“The look on a bride’s face when she first lays eyes on the man she is about to marry”
When Natasha first got in touch to ask if I’d consider working on New Years Eve, I am so glad my answer was a big fat YES! Not only did I save myself from a New Years day hangover – I got to finish the 2016 wedding year on a super high note – hanging out with gorgeous people in the outrageously stunning location that is The Old Church here in Hawkes Bay.
With every little detail meticulously planned and organised in advance by the lovely Natasha, and in the excellent hands of the team at Orton Tailored Cuisine, Natasha and Mike were free to just relax and enjoy the day unfolding. While tradition dictates that the groom doesn’t see the bride until she walks down the aisle, Natasha and Mike chose to see each other before the ceremony instead with an emotional ‘first look’ in the Villa gardens. For a photographer this is a very special moment to capture and for a couple, rather than replacing the experience of walking down the aisle, it can actually add another special moment to the day. Even better, being able to get most of the photos out of the way before the ceremony gave Natasha and Mike more time to mingle and relax with friends and family in the beautiful sun drenched courtyard, because really – that’s what it’s all about!
Natasha & Mike, thank you for choosing Carmen and I to capture your special day. It was a perfect fit.
